INTRODUCTION TO IMMUNOSENSORS
Introduction to immunosensors is delivered in a live, online ppt presentation. This means sessions will be interactive. Attendee participation is encouraged to enhance the learning experience. A quiz and certificate of completion is available following completion of each of your chosen modules. You may choose to participate in 1, 3 or 7 modules of particular interest to you. This enable you to pace and drive your own learning. Learning is assessed with a short quiz at the end of each module. A feedback survey will be sent to the participant to help improve the service. Participants may choose to receive further email alerts about new courses.
LO: You will be able to develop and write out that part of the course that you have chosen to meet your learning requirement(s).
This method of ‘spot teaching’ provides the opportunity to focus on the TOPICS of interest
Module 1 Introduction / history / types / structure / examples / uses of immunosensors
Module 2 Definition / specificity /application of affinity reagent interactions
Module 3 Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) formats
Module 4 Assay design and optimisation of immunoassay / calibration curves
Cost: £300 per course of 4 modules; £60 per single module- module duration 1 hour

HOW TO WRITE A RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Research proposals form an important part in securing funding. This course outlines key areas. Course delivery is be-spoke and therefore tailored to specific requirements, thereby presenting the choice to participate in all or some of the modules. This course is recommended to those with little or no experience in proposal writing.
LO: You will develop and write out a general research proposal
As part of each module, there will be examples. Each module will be delivered live and will therefore be interaction.

Module 2 Research question or hypothesis; key aims of the research
Module 3 Brief literature review; research methodlolgy
Module 4 Work plan; Time table
